Labour MP, Chris Bryant, got into an argument he probably wasn’t expecting this week when he wrote in the Guardian that it wasn’t acceptable that the arts are dominated by the likes of Eddie Redmayne, James Blunt “and their ilk”. This was a reference to the fact that both had the benefit of a public school education, a fact that Bryant felt gave them an unfair advantage over other people with the same aspirations.
